Food & Drink/Menjar i beure

On the 21st we will provide the drink (mainly wine, cava all sorts of teas and fruit juice) and some food for tea and supper, as well as breakfast on the 22nd but we would really appreciate it if you could help us with the food. If you can't bring a dish bring croissants for the morning, something sweet for the tea, some fruit (a big bunch of grapes or some cherries are always great for a summer party) or whatever you would like to drink if not wine and cava.
If you can bring anything please let us know, so that we can coordinate it a bit and not end up with 300 couscous dishes.
You can write it here or contact me at mimnavarro@hotmail.com

Si teniu algun dubte contacteu-me.

Entertainment/Entreteniment.

From 5:30 to 6:45, after tea, there will be an opportunity for those who would like to, to do something for us all to enjoy: Read something, play a song, do a magic trick… you are not allowed to make the bride or the groom disappear, but if there is anything you would like to share with the rest of us we will be very honoured. The person encharged to coordinate that part of the day is Emma at emma@loisels.com. Please let her know in advanced if you are planning to do anything.

What to bring for yourselves / Que cal portar per a vosaltres

Think camping. Bring anything you will need to camp comfortably for a couple of nights, keeping in mind English weather. There will be places to have a shower (bring a towel etc.) and an area specially set up for girls to get ready on Sunday 22nd with mirrors. Guys can do it in their tents or use the space after the girls.

A part from Tent etc. we recommend you bring:
- A pair of wellies or muddy shoes (just in case)
- A torch
- A blanket

Other places to stay: / Altres opcions per passar la nit

If you are not camping there are several B&Bs in or near South Harting. We suggest you contact Midhurst 1 or Petersfield 2 tourist information:
1- 01730 817 322
2- 01730 268 829
If in doubt feel free to contact us, we may be able to help.

Dress code / Per vestir

On the 21st we thoroughly recommend not to bring heels. The ceremony is in a rural and rustic setting. Come dressed comfortably and beautifully. With something to keep you warm in the evening and a clever idea to keep your feet dry in case of rain.
You may want to bring a second outfit for the second day so you don’t need to worry about the first one. On the 22nd heels are allowed and some people may dress smarter. Your choice. /

Jaquetes, xals i inclus paraigua no estaran de mes.

languadge maize/ Laberint d'idiomes

As you can see this is a bi-lingual blog, as the wedding will be. We hope to bring a Catalan element to the celebration,(through food, family and good friends) wich is the land that Miriam comes from. Some parts of the ceremony will happen in Catalan and others in English and we will try to keep everyone informed as well as we can. For those of you who have never been in Catalunya We post a picture of some mountains around the village that some of our friends come from. They are truly special. We have the most spectacular mountains over there.

Parking/Aparcament

There will be a special area for cars at Hampshire Cottage, not far from the camping area but far enough. Nevertheless, it may be helpful if those of you who come from London or Gatwick could get coordinated to bring as less cars as possible and share lifts during the days of the events. To find out who and when is coming down contact Harry at harryhardie@gmail.com

Transport:

For those of you who are going, some sort of transport will be available on the 22nd to help people go from Hampshire Cottage to Cooper’s Cottage and back. It would be helpful, if those of you who prefer use your own car could offer rides to people staying in the same place overnight.
For those who would like to, there will be the possibility to walk over the Downs from one place to the other on Sunday morning. It’s a lovely three hour walk so the adventurers will be setting out at 10 o’clock to make sure every one is at Cooper’s Cottage by 1:30. Think about shoes if you feel attracted to that option. /

Kids/ Nens

There will be a yurt for little ones and a play area for older kids. We are trying to organize a treasure hunt. We know many of you have a family and we would love to share the experience with the kids as well. As there will be several mums and dads maybe you can take turns amongst yourselves to enjoy a few moments of freedom now and then.

Hi haura varies arees pels nens I bastantes families.

Acknowledgements/Agraîments

Probably there won’t be enough space in this blog to thank everyone individually. If we do actually pull it off it will be thanks to the support and cooperation of all of you: by coming, by helping, by cooking, by holding the space for us… and we know that every day we will have to add more and more acknowledgements.

So far, we would like to specially thank the Grey Family for offering their home as the venue, Avril,George, Harry and Margarida (Miriam’s mum) for all the effort and support in organising and coordinating everything plus all the amazing meals we get in our honour. Avril for growing the flowers for the wedding, Monica for sewing the bride’s dress, Elisa for taking care of the Wedding Cake, and to all of you who have already so willingly taken on some responsibility. We really appreciate it and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we are already enjoying it (when we are not worrying to death, that is…)

Thank you so much to all of you. We promise not to do it again…

Cada dia haurem d’afegir mes agraîments, ho sabem.

Moltes gràcies a tots prometem no tornar-ho a fer…
